This past Friday night the ASU Sun Devils got a goal with three minutes left in regulation and held on in overtime to settle for a 1-1 tie with the Oregon Ducks.
Saturday night I was on assignment to cover America’s new professional sport, the National Pro Grid League, as it made its debut in the west. The DC Brawlers, whom I was assigned to cover, defeated the Phoenix Rise 21-14 in a match that was close coming into the final three races. NPGL features 11 races that combine speed, strength, and agility. The participants compete on a “Grid” the same size as a professional basketball court divided in to four areas. Men and women compete in this team format and each team must have an over 39-year-old male and female athlete in each race.
Very cool event to cover live!
